Introductionof standard products and guidelines for Dwellings, Micro and Small Businesses

1. अग्निव संबद्धजोखिम बीमाव्यापार कोअखिल भारतअग्नि टैरिफ, 2001 केदायरे से बाहरकरने कीप्रक्रिया जो 2006-07और 2007-08 मेंमूल्यनिर्धारणपहलू से टैरिफरद्द करने केलिए शुरू कीगयी थी 1 अप्रैल, 2001 सेकुछव्यापारोंजैसे आवास औरसूक्ष्म स्तर औरलघु स्तर केउद्यमों केलिए संलग्नअधिसूचना एफ.नं. आईआरडीएआई/नॉन-लाइफइंश्योरेन्स/5/171/2020 दिनांकित28 दिसंबर, 2020 मेंदिये गये विवरणके अनुसार, पूर्णहो जाएगी।

The process of bringing the Fire and Allied Perils Insurancebusiness out of the ambit of the All India Fire Tariff, 2001 which began in2006-07 and 2007-08 with de-tariffing of the pricing aspect, will standcompleted with effect from 1^st April, 2021 forcertain businesses, namely dwellings and micro level and small levelenterprises as detailed in Notification F.No. IRDAI/Non-LifeInsurance/5/171/2020 dated 28^th December, 2020 attached.

2. 1 अप्रैल, 2021 से, इनव्यापारों केलिए अग्नि वसंबद्ध जोखिमबीमा, प्राधिकरणके संलग्नदिशा-निर्देशसंदर्भ. आईआरडीए/एनएल/जीडीएल/एमआईएससी/004/01/2021 औरसंदर्भआईआरडीए/एनएल/जीडीएल/एमआईएससी/005/01/2021 दोनोंक्रमशःदिनांकित 4जनवरी, 2021, द्वाराशासित होगी।

With effect from 1^st April, 2021, Fire andAllied Perils Insurance for these businesses shall be governed by theAuthority’s Guidelines bearing Ref. IRDA/ NL/GDL/MISC/004/01/2021 andRef. IRDA/NL/GDL/MISC/005/01/2021 respectively, both dated 4^th January,2021, as attached.

3. दिशा-निर्देश, तीनअभिज्ञातखंडों के लिएखुदरा श्रेणीके अंतर्गतमानक उत्पादनिर्धारितकरते हैं।

The Guidelines prescribe standard products under the Retailcategory for the three identified segments.

4. बीमाकर्तापहचानी गयींश्रेणियों के लिएवर्तमान मानकअग्नि एवंविशेष जोखिम (एसएफएसपी) पॉलिसीके स्थान परनए उत्पादोंके लाने के लिएआवश्यकतैयारीकरेंगे। यहकहने कीआवश्यकतानहीं है कि 31 मार्च, 2021 तकजारी की गयीएसएफएसपीपॉलिसियाँसंबंधित पॉलिसीकी अवधि कीसमाप्ति तक तबतक जारी रहेंगी, जबतक लागू नयेउत्पाद उनकीजगह नहीं लेलेते।

Insurers shall carry out the necessary preparatory work totransition to the new products replacing the current Standard Fire and SpecialPerils (SFSP) policy for the identified categories. Needless to mention, theSFSP policies issued upto 31^st March, 2021 shall continue tillthe expiry of the respective policy periods at which point they shall bereplaced with the new products as applicable.

5. नयेउत्पादों केसंक्रमण केबादबीमाकर्ताओं द्वारानिम्नलिखितकदम उठाये जाएंगे।

Transition to the new products would entail the following steps tobe taken by insurers:

i. उत्पादफाइलिंग दिशा-निर्देशोंसाथ ही साथविभिन्नउत्पादों, जो1 अप्रैल, 2021से प्रभावीहोंगे के लिएसंबंधितविशिष्ट दिशा-निर्देशमें दर्शायीगयी उत्पादफाइल करने कीप्रक्रिया कापालन करें।फाइल करने कीकार्रवाईव्यापारविश्लेषिकीपरियोजना (बीएपी) केमाध्यम से कीजाएगी।

   i.  Followthe product filing procedure set out in the Product Filing Guidelines as wellas the respective specific guidelines for the various products that will comeinto effect from 1^st April, 2021. The filing shall be carriedout through the Business Analytics Project (BAP).

   ii. यहसुनिश्चितकरें कि सभीएजेंटों, मध्यवर्तियोंऔर अन्य उपयुक्तवितरण चैनलोंको तीनोंउत्पादों केबारे में पूरीजानकारी दे दीजाती है औरउन्हेंआवश्यक पाठ्यसामग्रीउपलब्ध करानेके अलावाउपयुक्तप्रशिक्षणदिया जाता है।

ii. Ensurethat all agents, intermediaries and other applicable distribution channels aremade fully aware of the three products and appropriate training is given tothem, apart from making available the required literature.

   iii. उत्पादोंके बारे में, पॉलिसीधारकोंऔर आम जनता कोजागरूक बनायाजाय।प्रत्येकपॉलिसीधारक को इसके संबंधमें जैसाकि ज़रूरी हो सकता है, एक-एककर सूचित करनेके अलावाबीमाकर्ताओंको, अक्सर पूछेजाने वालेप्रश्नो केअनुभाग के साथअपने वेबसाइटपर उत्पादोंको प्रदर्शितकरना चाहिए।हमारा सुझावहै किबीमाकर्ताओंके पास एकपृथक टीम हो, जोकिपॉलिसीधारकोंऔर आम जनता केप्रश्नों औरशंकाओं कासमाधान करे।

iii. Createawareness amongst policyholders and the general public about the products.Apart from communicating one to one as may be necessary with the policyholders,insurers should display the products on their website with a Frequently AskedQuestions section. We suggest that insurers have a separate team to addressqueries and doubts of policyholders and the general public.

  iv. बीमाकर्ताओंको 1 अप्रैल, 2021 सेउत्पादोंको लाँच करनेके लिए अपनीसूचनाप्रौद्योगिकीप्रणाली मेंआवश्यक बदलावकरना चाहिए। 

iv. Insurersshould undertake the necessary changes in their IT systems to launch theproducts with effect from 1^st April, 2021.

  v. अन्यविभिन्नपहलुओं, जैसेपुनर्बीमाकर्ता, लेखांकनइत्यादि केपरिप्रेक्ष्यसे भी अपेक्षितबदलाव किये जानेचाहिए। 

v. Various other aspects such as changes required from theperspective of Reinsurance, Accounting etc are to be addressed as well.

6. प्राधिकरणइस विषय परशीघ्र ही एकवेबिनार का आयोजनकरेगा जिसकेविवरण अलग सेसूचित किये जाएँगे।

The Authority will be organizing a webinar on the subject for allinsurers shortly, the details of which will be intimated separately.
