संदर्भ:आईआरडीएआईके तहतअभिलेखों कारखरखाव (जांचऔर निरीक्षणके लिए आवश्यकन्यूनतम जानकारी)विनियम2020।

Re: Maintenance of recordsunder IRDAI (Minimum Information Required for Investigation and Inspection)Regulations 2020.

1. प्राधिकरणने 23 नवंबर2020कोआधिकारिकराजपत्र मेंआईआरडीएआई (जांचऔर निरीक्षणके लिए आवश्यकन्यूनतम सूचना)विनियम2020कोअधिसूचितकिया है। यहविनियमअधिसूचना कीतारिख अर्थात23 मई 2020 से 6 महीनेके बाद लागूहोंगे।

The Authority has notifiedIRDAI (Minimum Information Required for Investigation and Inspection)Regulations 2020 in the official gazette on 23rd November 2020. Theseregulations will come into force after 6 months from the date of notificationi.e., from 23rd May 2021.

2. तथापिये विनियमभौतिक रूप मेंया इलेक्ट्रॉनिकरूप मेंरिकॉर्ड केरखरखाव कीअनुमति देते हैं,और बीमाकंपनियों,मध्यस्थों औरबीमामध्यस्थों कोइलेक्ट्रॉनिकप्रारूप मेंरिकॉर्ड बनाए रखनेके लिएप्रोत्साहित करतीहै ताकि लागतप्रभावशीलतासुनिश्चित कीजा सके; औरअधिकारद्वारा जांचऔर निरीक्षणके लिए इनअभिलेखों कीपहुंच हो सके।अतः, यह सूचितकिया जाता हैकिबीमाकर्ताओं,मध्यस्थों औरबीमामध्यस्थोंद्वाराचरणबद्धतरीके सेभौतिकअभिलेखों काडिजिटलीकरणसुनिश्चितकरने के लिएआवश्यक कदमउठाए जा सकते हैंताकि उन्हेंपूर्वनिर्धारितसमय-सीमा केभीतरइलेक्ट्रॉनिकप्रारूप मेंपरिवर्तितकिया जा सके। आपसेअनुरोध है किअगले 15 दिनोंके भीतर, आपकीकंपनी के लिएआवश्यक समय-सीमाबताएं।

Though these Regulations allowmaintenance of records either in physical form or in electronic form, theinsurers, intermediaries and insurance intermediaries are encouraged tomaintain the records in electronic format so as to ensure cost effectiveness;and accessibility of these records for investigation and inspection by the/authority. Therefore, it is advised that necessary steps may be taken by theinsurers, intermediaries and insurance intermediaries to ensure digitization ofphysical records in a phased manner so as to convert them into electronicformat within pre-fixed timelines. You are requested to indicate, within thenext 15 days, the timeline needed for your company.
