Sub:Extension of timeline for review and updation of stewardship policy based onthe Revised Guidelines on Stewardship Code for insurers in India

1. प्राधिकरणने भारत मेंबीमाकर्ताओंके लिए प्रबंधन(स्ट्यूअर्डशिप)संहिताके संबंध मेंसंशोधितदिशा-निर्देशजारी किये हैं,संदर्भपरिपत्रसंदर्भआईआरडीएआई/एफ&ए/जीडीएल/ सीपीएम/045/02/2020 दिनांकित7 फरवरी, 2020.

The Authority hadissued Revised Guidelines on Stewardship Code for Insurers in India videcircular ref: IRDAI/F&A/GDL/CPM/045/02/2020 dated 7th February, 2020.

2. सभीबीमाकर्ताओंको सलाह दीगयी थी कि इसपरिपत्र केजारी होने कीतिथि अर्थात्7 मई, 2020 से तीनमहीने की अवधिके भीतर वे अपनीवर्तमान प्रबंधन(स्ट्यूअर्डशिप)पालिसीकी,संशोधितदिशानिर्देशोंके आधार परसमीक्षा करें औरउसको अद्यतनकरें।

Allthe insurers were advised to review and update their existing stewardshippolicy based on the revised guidelines within three months from the date ofissue of the circular, i.e., by 7th May, 2020.

3. कोविड-19के कारणवर्तमानलॉकडाउनप्रतिबंधों कोध्यान मेंरखते हुए,आईआरडीएआई ने,विभिन्नविनियामकविवरणियांभेजने औरसावधिकअनुपालनों केलिए बीमाकर्ताओंको समय-सीमाओंमें विस्तारका अनुमोदन कियाहै,संदर्भ, इससंबंध मेंजारी विभिन्नपरिपत्र।उसकी निरंतरतामें, वर्तमान प्रबंधन(स्ट्यूअर्डशिप)पालिसीकी समीक्षाकरने और उसकोउपरोक्त परिपत्रके अनुरूप अद्यतनबनाने के लिएसमय-सीमा में 31मई, 2020 तकविस्तार करनेका निर्णय कियागया है।

Consideringthe present lock down stipulations owing to covid-19, IRDAI has grantedextension of timelines to insurers for furnishing various Regulatory Returnsand periodic compliances vide various circulars issued in this regard. Incontinuation of the same, it has been decided to extend the timelines forreview and updation of the existing stewardship policy to be compliant with theabove said Circular upto 31st May, 2020.
