कृषि और संबद्ध कार्यकलापों के लिए बीमा उत्पादों को फाइल करने में सुगमता

Ease of filing insurance products for Agriculture and allied activities

भारतीय बीमा विनियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण (आईआरडीएआई) ने सभी खंडों के पालिसीधारकों के हितों का संरक्षण करने तथा व्यवसाय करने की सुगमता में सुधार लाने के अपने निरंतर प्रयास में अब `यूज़ एण्ड फाइल’ प्रक्रिया को कृषि और संबद्ध कार्यकलापों को कवर करनेवाले उत्पादों के लिए लागू किया है।

कृषि और संबद्ध कार्यकलाप भारत में आजीविका के सबसे बड़े स्रोतों में से एक हैं। साथ ही, समाज के असुरक्षित खंडों पर प्राकृतिक विपत्तियों का प्रतिकूल प्रभाव अत्यधिक है तथा उनके संरक्षण के लिए उपयुक्त बीमा उत्पाद अभिकल्पित और प्रस्तावित करने की आवश्यकता को रेखांकित करता है। यह कदम एक समयबद्ध तरीके से इन खंडों के लिए नवोन्मेष उत्पाद अभिकल्पित करने और प्रारंभ करने तथा पालिसीधारकों के लिए उपलब्ध विकल्पों का विस्तार करने में बीमा कंपनियों की सहायता करेगा।

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) in its continued endeavor to protect the interests of all segments of policyholders and improve the ease of doing business has now extended the ‘Use and File’ procedure to products covering Agriculture and allied activities.

Agriculture and allied activities constitutes one of the largest sources of livelihood in India. Also, the adverse impact of natural catastrophes on the vulnerable segments of society is enormous and underlines the need to design and offer suitable insurance products for their protection. This move will facilitate the insurance companies to design and launch innovative products for these segments in a timely manner and expand the choices available to the policyholders.
