ADVERTISMENT FOR THEPOST OF DIRECTOR, INSTITUTE OF INSURANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT (IIRM), HYDERABAD

IIRM, was established in 2002 by IRDAI andGovernment of Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana)to impart education and training inInsurance, Risk Management and other allied financial areas. Its flagship course,PGDM (2 years Masters Level Program) is approved by AICTE.

IIRM is a unique management institute set upby a Regulator imparting education tostudents interested in a career inFinancial Services, Insurance, RiskManagement, Analytics and Actuarial Science.
Applications are invited for the post of Director,IIRM, Hyderabad. The Director is expected to provide academic and administrative leadership under the overall guidance of Board of Directors to maintain high academic standard.

a. Qualification:
Ph.D or equivalent,in appropriate disciplineand First Class or equivalent in Master’s Degree inBusiness Administration or equivalent. Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.Dstudents is highly desirable.

b. Experience:
Minimum of 20 years’experience in teaching / Research / Industry out of which at least 5 yearsshall be at the level of Professor.
Administrativeexperience in responsible position, research experience, good academic recordand books / research paper publications / IPR / patents record shall be desirableby the Selection committee.
Flair for Teaching andLeadership is essential.

c. Age:
The candidates should not be less than 50years of age and should not exceed 62 years as on the last date of theapplications.

d. Remuneration, allowances and perks:
The pay of Director, IIRM shall be a fixedmonthly salary of Rs. 300,000/- per month.

The other perks shall be as decided by theBoard of Directors of IIRM from time to time. No accommodation shall beprovided.

The Director will be appointed by the Boardof Directors of IIRM based on the recommendations made by a SelectionCommittee. The Selection Committee will consider applications fulfilling theabove criteria, received in response to this advertisement.

Selected candidates shall have a contractualtenure of appointment for Three years or till attaining 65 years of age,whichever is earlier.

Candidates may also be askedto make a presentation to the Selection Committee.
