Constitution of Central Database of Licensed Insurance sales persons in Ind
This has reference to Circular No. IRDAI/INT/CIR/CDB/160/07/2017, Dated 12th July, 2017 which lays down roadmap for constitution of a Central Database of all Insurance Sales Persons in India at Insurance Information Bureau of India (IIBI). Insurers and Intermediaries have therein been advised to upload requisite details, including Aadhar number, of such persons on the database of IIBI.
The next phase of the Portal is ready at IIBI, and requisite details pertaining to following entities working on their behalf shall be uploaded to IIB by all Insurance Intermediaries.
a) Broker Qualified Persons,
b) Specified Persons of Corporate Persons, and
c) Authorised verifiers of Web Aggregators
The web link for ENVOY is https://envoy.iib.gov.in and the data formats for web upload, user guide and other details are available in a downloadable format from the web link. Insurance Intermediaries are required to complete upload of their data not later than 30th September, 2017.
Insurance Intermediaries may e-mail their request for creation of secure login credentials etc to Shri Srikanth Pokkuluri (Head-IT) srikanth.pokkuluri@iib.gov.in, 8008947272 and Shri Srinivas Sankar Sethi (Project manager) srinivassethi@iib.gov.in, 9032723168 of IIB.
The last phase of the Portal would cover Individual Agents, IMFs and remaining categories, and is expected to be ready shortly. A communication in this regard would be issued in due course.
