Health insurance addresses a major area of public concern. Although it is rapidly growing sector, access to health insurance still remains limited and add to it complaints, especially due to variable interpretations of key policy terms, are enormous. In order to address the expectation of public more effectively, the Authority intends to standardize/streamline important aspects triggering health insurance complaints. The initiatives proposed vide this exposure draft (download .pdf file) would be mandated across all industry players to build common understanding.

 

In this regard, the Authority invites the comments and suggestions on the exposure draft from all the stakeholders. The comments and suggestions on the exposure draft may be forwarded to Ms. J. Meena Kumari, Joint Director (Health) within 10 days of issue of this draft @ meena at irda dot gov dot in.
