APPOINTMENT OF INSURANCE OMBUDSMAN AT CHANDIGARH
 
Applications are invited from persons who have retired or about to retire from IAS or IRS, and aged not above 62 years as on 31-12-2011, to fill up the vacancy of Insurance Ombudsman at CHANDIGARH.
 
We are looking for officers who have retired (or about to retire) either from IAS or IRS.       Any officer fulfilling the following eligibility criteria and interested to serve as Ombudsman at Chandigarh may apply.  
 
 
Service      :       Applicants must be persons who have retired (or about to retire)
  from IAS   or   IRS
 
Age                  :     Not above  62 years as on 31-12-2011
 
Position
held                 :      The candidate should have held a post equivalent to or above the
                                  rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India or any
                                  post under State Government equivalent to or above the level of
                                  Additional Secretary to Govt. of India.
 
 
The details of the Redressal of Grievances Rules, 1998 under which Insurance Ombudsmen are appointed and the pay and perks to which Ombudsmen are entitled are given hereunder.
