A seminar on ‘GeneralInsurance – A way to secure future’ by All India Consumer Protection Organization on 24th February, 2014 at Semariya, District: Rewa, Madhya Pradesh

The seminar was inaugurated by Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Ganesh Singh, who was the chief guest along with Sarsanghchalak, Shri Krishan Maheshwari, President of All India Consumer Protection Organization, Shri Hari Shankar Shukla. In the inaugural speech of Chief Guest, he discussed various aspects of insurance including requirements and importance in detail.

Shri Pankaj Tewari, Deputy Director of IRDA also participated in the seminar as speaker and explained about the micro insurance as well as the initiatives taken by IRDA inorder to protect the interests of policyholders.

Shri Sanjay Jhadokar informed the participants about the importance of Health Insurance and the role of TPA. Shri Ajay Choudhari,The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd., discussed about the requirements of motor insurance, the process of claim and the document required for settlement. Shri Rajender Singh Chouhan highlighted the coverage of property insurance and exclusions.

The consumer education material developed and published by IRDA was also distributed among the participants of the seminar. Shri Om Bhardwaj, gave a vote of thanks.
